It also has a good amount of features with it. You'll find Gen 4 M.2 Xpander-Z sockets. 10G Super LAN and 2.5G LAN makes internet connections much faster than regular boards. The frozen heatsink absorbs heat perfectly and looks great at doing that. There's also a Double Side M.2 Shield

The only thing to nitpick about is the price. However, for the features and looks this motherboard provides, you shouldn't think too much while going for this motherboard. It's simply the best motherboard for video editing.

However, the board doesn't have a listed PCIe 4.0 support. Other than that, the board is perhaps one of the best. And overall, it's pleasing both aesthetically and performance-wise.

If you're a minimalist design lover then you'll love the Gigabyte Z490. The Gigabyte Z490 supports 10th Generation Intel Core Processors. The VRM section is doing pretty good too with Direct 11+1 Phase Digital VRMs with DrMOS Stages.

Moving on, the motherboard features a matte black and silver finish and looks good aesthetically. Though it doesn't have any RGB, you can't expect much from a budget motherboard. The Integrated IO Armor provides good thermal protection and doesn't let the board heat up.

The motherboard follows a Dual Channel DDR4 setup (4x DIMM slots). It supports up to 128GB RAM and 4500MHz speed. This board also has dual M.2 slots so you can easily hook up two SSDs though. This board also supports cross-firing but we don't recommend it. This motherboard also has a good amount of I/O ports including a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.

Our complaints? Not recommended for professionals or high-performance editing as it can get overheated. And this mother also isn't recommended for those who like RGB lighting. But if you're on a budget then these won't matter much. So just go for it!

To be honest, we didn't find anything to nitpick about this motherboard. This is one of the best motherboards overall. So don't hesitate to pick this one up.

Up next we have the Asus AM4 tuf Gaming X570-Plus. And in our eyes, it provides the same and in some cases better performance than the Asus ROG Strix board. But the price is around the same!

The ASUS TUF Gaming x570-Plus is compatible with the 2nd and 3rd Gen Ryzen Processors. You'll notice that the Board has a decent number of I/O ports including two M. 2 Drives, USB 3. 2 Gen2 ports.

The TUF X570-Plus is made with military-grade TUF components. So it's very durable. It also has an enhanced power design with 12+2 Dr. MOS power stages. It combines the high-side and low-side MOSFETs and drivers into a single package making power flow more efficient during video editing sessions.

The mother has a very good cooling system as it comes with an Active PCH heatsink, VRM heatsink, M.2 heatsink, hybrid fan headers, and Fan Xpert 4. The networking options are pretty diverse too with Bluetooth 5.0 and TUF LANguard. And finally, this motherboard has 4DIMM slots that can hold up to 128GB RAM at once.

However, it doesn't have a front-panel USB 3.1 Gen2 port. And it's the only thing that's holding us from declaring it as the best AMD motherboard. But don't get us wrong. It's still one of the best AMD motherboards and you should go for it if you like it.

For this final one, we thought that going for the Gigabyte B550 Aorus elite would be a good fit. As it's priced decently with many good features, it could be the budget AMD motherboard option you're looking for.

The Aorus B550 supports 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Processors. It has Dual channel non-ECC unbuffered DDR4 up to 128GB (x4). The power solution is quite efficient too as you'll find True 12+2 Phases Digital VRM Solution with 50A DrMOS.

The Aorus B550 elite prioritizes low temperature that's why it comes with an advanced thermal design with enlarged surface heatsinks. The board is quite durable and sleek looking as you'll notice it has a matte black color with lit up Aorus logo.

One other thing to notify is that you'll find an Ultra-durable PCIe 4.0 x16 slot on the B550 Aorus Elite. It comes with a Dual ultra-fast NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 slot. The M.2 slots are protected with a thermal guard. This motherboard also has AMP-UP audio with ALC1200 and WIMA capacitors

However, the audio solution needs an improvement and aside from that, it's a solid motherboard both aesthetically and performance-wise.

When deciding on which motherboard will serve you best for your video editing, there are a couple of things in the form of motherboard features you should think about before making the purchase.

Firstly, when you think about the graphics card, especially if you intend on having multiple ones in your machine, you should consider getting a motherboard that is compatible with Crossfire for NVIDIA and SLI for AMD. Another point of consideration has to be the M.2 slots for your solid-state drive.
